Mortuary Chapel
This disused morgue / mortuary and chapel of rest was probably built in the 40’s, and it is a small, rectangular building on the outskirts of the main Brighton Hospital site, which closed in the early 90s when the morgue/mortuary relocated to the main hospital building.
Inside, there is a small chapel and viewing room with the rest of the building comprising of body fridges and the main autopsy room. The two original autopsy slabs were missing when we visited. Footnote : Also known as the Rainbow’s End or the Rose Cottage.
